I started First Priority Movers in 2015 for one simple reason: I wanted a moving company where the person who answers the phone actually cares how your day goes. I grew up off Red Bluff Road right here in Pasadena, and I watched my grandmother move between rentals three times before I was ten. Moving day was always stressful, and it never had to be.
Before this, I spent seven years dispatching for a national van line out of the Port of Houston freight corridor along the ship channel. I saw the other side of the business up close — Gulf Coast families hit with surprise fees they were never quoted, furniture showing up scratched, and storm-season schedules thrown into chaos with nobody on the office side really standing behind it. I knew I could do it better, and closer to home.
So we built First Priority Movers around the things those families never got: a written flat-rate quote up front, our own uniformed crew on every job — never subcontractors — and someone who picks up the phone and owns the outcome. That someone is usually me.
Today I still oversee the schedule personally. The price we quote is the price you pay, and the crew you were promised is the crew that shows up at your door.
